Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge
part of The Big Dig Project in Boston
One of the widest cable-stayed bridges in the world
Named after civil rights activist Lenny Zakim and the American colonists who fought the British in the Battle of Bunker Hill.
John Hancock tower was built in 1976 and at 241 meters (790ft),
it is still the tallest building in Boston
The modern building designed by I.M. Pei
contrasts with the neighborhood's 19th century buildings.
