Michael An Instrument of Nature
Richard Moodie and Terri Tufts collaborated on this guitar that includes
more than 27,600 rhinestones and a continuous play system that plays
Michael Jackson songs. Moodie, a Cleveland-area businessman conceived,
designed and created the idea and asked Tufts, owner of Griffin Scenic
Art Studio, to help him execute it. |
Smiler Mickey Hart is best known for his nearly thirty years as percussionist and drummer for the Grateful Dead. A tireless advocate of the world's music, his band, Planet Drum, not only hit #1 on the Billboard World Music Chart, it also received the Grammy for Best World Music Album in 1991 - the first Grammy ever awarded in this category. It is one of twenty-nine recordings released on Hart's the WORLD series on Rykodisc Records. Hart also has composed scores for many movies, including Apocalypse Now, and for the opening ceremonies of the 1996 Olympics. Hart and his former Grateful Dead bandmates are again performing together as the Other Ones. |
